Tuesday's Green Tip

Hi all!!! I missed last weeks Green tip because I was out of town and not blogging! The week before I talked about reusing your paper scraps to make new paper.

Now that you have made the paper now you need something to color with but all you have is a bunch of broken crayons! OH NO WHAT TO DO????

I have the answer! You can remake crayons! First you need a muffin pan a large one small one whatever you have. Then you need to peel of the paper from the crayons and break them into smaller pieces if you would like. here is where the fun comes in...You put the broken crayon pieces into the muffin tin. If you want to keep solid colors then use all the same color crayon or if you want rainbow crayons then mix up the colors!

After you put your bits of crayons into he muffin tin, you place the tin in a pre-heated oven. 200-250 is good. You will not need to keep them in there long. When all crayons are melted take from oven and cool then pop out your new crayons!

My boys loving do this!

Untill next week...keep it Green!!

Such a great idea! I have hat friends use the 'new' multicolored crayons as kids party takeaways.

I like this green tip. Sure beats throwing away all those little crayon pieces.
