I am back but not well

Hi all my loyal readers, all what 4 of you? Have you missed me? I was out in big sky country, Montana visiting family and my dying grandfather. My beautiful cousin got married and it was a blast. All of my family from all over were there and it was so nice to see everyone.

It was so hard leaving knowing that I will never see my grandfather again. I love him so much and it SUCKED. I don't think I have cried that hard in my life. He was just diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma and being 87 there is not much they can do for him. I hope he does not suffer and he goes quickly. I am going to miss him so much I can't even put it into words. I worry about my grandmother, how she will be with out him. They lost their most of their family in WWII and for 60 years all they've had was each other and soon he will be gone. I saw the fear in her eyes and it killed me to see this strong woman so full of fear.

He sleeps allot and she gets mad. I asked her why and her response was I know he does not have much time so I want to spend all the time I can with him.

So now I am home and not well, not because of my grandfather being sick but because I am sick with some sort of parasite called Giardia and if you have not had it or herd of it, IT. IS. NASTY. AND. I. FEEL. LIKE. HELL!!!!

The whole cancer and death thing is just so awful. I'm so sorry

I hope you feel better soon.

Write letters to your grandparents. Tell them what your children are doing, tell them you love them, tell them about the little details in your life like what you made for dinner, etc etc... You have no idea how comforting and encouraging a real snail mail letter can be.
