GIVEAWAY CLOSED!!! PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER GIVEAWAYS AND THANK YOU TO ALL WHO ENTERED!!!
Hi and welcome...I had a very relaxing spring break and now I am ready to jump back into the daily grind! This week I will be having a full week of Green/Natural products reviews and giveaways. I am so excited for this so check back daily!
Now on to today's review....Better Life Green Cleaning Products.
You may have figured this out already but I am addicted to Green Cleaning products, all of them. I have been so lucky to have been able to try some fabulous products all wonderful and yet different. So of course I was excited when these great Green products arrived on my door step.
First a little from their web site::
PEOPLE
The Soylent Green reference aside, people are our most valuable resource. Why would anybody make a product that isn’t safe for us? Better Life blends highly specialized surfactants made from sugar, starch, and amino acids — all safe stuff. You’ll never see sulfates, ethoxylates, fragrances, dyes, or volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as glycol ethers and alcohols in our products. VOCs vaporize, entering the air we breathe. They’re triggers for respiratory problems, nausea, headaches, and skin irritation, and contribute to many more ailments.
PLANET
We screen hundreds of ingredients, choosing only the ones that are both effective, and have the fastest, most complete biodegradability profiles. All of our products have rapid biodegradation profiles. Over 99% of the ingredients we use are natural or derived from natural, renewable resources, and the formulas have no aquatic or terrestrial toxicity (making for some very happy amphibians). We use no nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPEs) because it messes with the reproductive systems of marine life — and kids love fish and frogs.
PERFORMANCE
With all the harsh chemicals gone, you’d wonder how Better Life products perform. Our products are setting the standard for green cleaning products. That’s not just a claim; we can back it up. As for traditional solvent-based cleaners? Bring ’em on. Yup, even without solvents, silicones, VOCs, ethoxylates, petroleum–based ingredients, or harsh surfactants they really do work better. Better technologies. Better thinking. Better chemistry. Better solutions. That’s what Better Life’s about.
**A percentage of our profits go to non–profit organizations who share our vision and passion for monk–like cleanliness in our houses, lives and planet.
All of their products are GLUTEN FREE!!!!!
Here is what the generous folks at Better Life sent me to try:
Simply Floored....I was very excited to try this product as we have a lot of hard wood floors in our house and I have tried other Green floor products and have not been overly thrilled. They cleaned them but left them looking dull and a bit sticky/tacky. This was NOT the case with this product. I am in love with it! It did a fabulous job cleaning my floors and left them nice and streak free and not sticky/tacky at all, I will be ordering this from them on a regular basis for sure!
The next product had me just as excited as the Simply floored...Even the Kitchen Sink
I normally just use baking soda to scrub out my sink but we all know that it can leave that White "film" if not rinsed good enough. Well rinsing too long uses a lot of water! Not good! So when I tried this I was so excited that it not only made my stainless steal kitchen sink sparking clean it rinsed off fast and did not leave the white residue that Baking Soda does. It is very gentle but powerful, I loved it!
Next was....what-EVER!
A wonderful all purpose cleaner. I used this in my kitchen on the counters and my black appliances and in my bathroom it work great. And smelled wonderful, I tried the Clary Sage and Citrus scent.
Then I gave this to a friend to try as i do not have babies and they do....2am Miracle
My friends we very exited to try this and they have a new baby and we all know that as cute as they are they can be a bit stinky and messy! They said this was a great product and cleaned up their sweet little girls spit up with no problem and it even took the smell out. They love this product!!
All in all I have to say I was very impressed with their products. Now for the fun part the giveaway.....
The wonderful people at Better Life are giving one of my lucky readers 1 of everything I reviewed...YES!!! You read that Correctly one winner will receive:

What I found interesting is that the founders played together as children and were classmates. This says a lot about the company being sincere in their products.
Our household cleaning products aren’t just made for moms and dads; they’re also for Mom Earth. We want a safe place for our families to live in and a safe planet to live on. Better Life products can make that happen. Maybe it’s only a scrubber. Or just a nursery cleaner. Still, the wisdom is spot on: One person can make a difference. That’s how clean happens
one of the founders created alot of products you see on target shelves and home depot

the floor cleaner seems best for someone with a dog.
I was shocked that the company was founded by men, both fathers with kids close in age. Usually, men consider cleaning (and the supplies that go with it) to be "women's work". Their wives must be so proud of them!

This is most interesting to me. As to me it says a lot about a company that not only develops truly green products but also donate to worthy causes. In my opinion this company will go far.
Thank you so much for the chance to win.
I am following your blog :)
What I found interesting is that they say "Our household cleaning products aren’t just made for moms and dads; they’re also for Mom Earth." What a statement!

I think it's inetersting that they screen all their ingredient and choose only the ones that are both effective, and have the fastest, most complete biodegradability profiles. I also love their product names.. very cute.

I think it's interesting that their scientist got interested in green cleaning products after he had a child of his own. asthenight at gmail dot com
All Better Life cleaning products use agents which are free of petrochemicals and ethoxylates; the power behind our green cleaners comes directly from plants and vegetation that Mother Nature provides. and that is interesting
I like the fact that the company has a sense of humor as evidenced by the names of their products and the fact that one of the founders is a "mad scientist". I like a company that has serious products but doesn't take itself seriously!

i found it interesting that 2 guys founded this company.
I am delighted that I am able to purchase these products at drugstore.com, as there are no stores in my area that carry them. Thank you!
I learned that I Can See Clearly, WOW!™ glass cleaner is solvent-free (no ammonia, alcohol, or ethers) and pH neutral, so it’s safe to use on acrylic and tinted/treated windows and glass.
I like that they give to charities that support the environment.

I found it interesting that Tim Barklage was raised in a green home and with Better Life he is carrying on with his green upbringing.

They say that "Our products are setting the standard for green cleaning products." That's great because I've definitely used my share of green products that don't work as well as I'd like.
I like their social responsibility and efficacy.
We have allergies and these safe products would be great for all of us! Thanks!
If found this interesting:
Better Life formed out of a life–long friendship between the founders. They played as kids, were classmates, and now have kids that are practically hours apart. As parents, Tim and Kevin simply wanted products that’d be good for their kids, your kids, and our planet.

I think it's so great that their products don't contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs) which can be triggers for respiratory problems. As a parent with a child with Asthma this is fantastic!

what I found interesting and endearing was that etter Life formed out of a life–long friendship between the founders. They played as kids, were classmates, and now have kids that are practically hours apart.
Aside from their great products, one interesting (and inspiring) detail about Better Life I found on their site is that they donate a portion of their profits to various nonprofit organizations committed to a clean earth. Great company!

I found interesting that the founders were men first off (mostly you find companies like these founded by women I think), also that they were playmates from little on.
I thought it was interesting that one of the founders (Kevin) is one of the most prolific formulation chemists in the business, having developed over 300 successful products in the past 11 years. Wow.
We make Better Life™ green cleaning products because we want a better life. For our kids, pets, dads, moms, and especially Mom Earth.

I appreciate that their products are not tested on animals. I am looking for a green product that would work on laminate floors and Simply Floored sounds like it fits the bill.
I love this fact " Over 99% of the ingredients we use are natural or derived from natural, renewable resources, and the formulas have no aquatic or terrestrial toxicity (making for some very happy amphibians). "
I know I'm probably repeating what others have said but I really like that over 99% of the ingredients they use are natural or derived from natural, renewable resources. I could certainly use the 2am miracle!!
I love that they give a percentage of their profits to non–profit organizations who share their vision
Not only do the products sound awesome, I love the names of them. Too funny! I think it's cool that they donate some of their profits to non-profits as well.
Wow - the founders played together as children and were classmates. trinitygsd at yahoo dot com
i think its quite ironic that these products were founded by MEN!
I have yet to meet a guy who cleans!
:)
I liked several things on their Better Life website. I liked that they were friends and classmates growing up, I like that they have a sense of humor (love the names of the products!) and I love that the products are green!
I really found in interesting that one of the founders Tim, was raised in a green home.
