What a Disappointment

I was SO EXCITED to watch Nip Tuck last night, the season premier. I love Nip Tuck, yes I know it is a bit twisted and over the top but I love it none the less. I had the DVR all set to record as it is on when my 12 year old is still up, not quite the type of show one would want a child to see. So the second he was in bed the TV went on I was ready.

Christan was his usual self, an ass and Sean was his wimpy self, it was great!!! Matt was going to be a mime, if he were my son I would have smacked him...HARD!!!

I was enjoying it so much, fast forwarding through the commercials then it happened...I had to do a double take...was it? Could it be??? Yep...Mario Lopez....EEEWWWWW!!!! Yes the one and only form Saved by the Bell! I was MORE THEN DISAPPOINTED...WTH??? Why Mario Lopez? He is an AWFUL actor and that cheesy smile, I would love to smack it off his face. His character was bizarre but what else would you expect from Nip Tuck?

So there I was torn between turning it off and watching the rest, yes that is how much I dislike Mario. It was a struggle, I decided to watch the rest and I am glad I did. I am so scared to do a search and see if Mario is a permanent fixture at McNamara/Troy, what if he is??? I do not think I could handle an hour a week with him....I might need to find another show? We will see...any one watch it? Your thoughts???

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!????? As I am writing this I am watching Regis and Kelly...guess who one of the guests is??? YEP..Mario...can I not get away from this man???? UGH!!!!!!!!

The Shandle Review

Are you ALWAYS asking your children if they have washed their hands after using the bathroom? I have 2 boys and I am CONSTANTLY reminding them.

With Flu season upon us and fears of H1N1 I feel like I am after them always! So when I was contacted to review The Shandle I was excited! Not only did I think it would be a great reminder to wash hands but to also lift the toilet seat when the boys do their business. You see my 6 year old WILL NOT touch the toilet with his hands AT ALL! I have witnessed him NOT lift the toilet seat up and then flush with his foot. When I question him about it he says "It is gross to touch the toilet, you can get sick"
Him not lifting up the seat tends to be an issue in our house...EVERY TIME I need to use the restroom I must double check to make sure there is no tinkle on the seat and 9 out 10 times there is. This is especially wonderful in the middle of the night when I am 1/2 asleep and not quite thinking to check...yes I know gross right??

The Shadle comes to the rescue!

The Shandle is super easy to install and I had no problems doing it! You simply peel the backing off and stick it to your toilet seat, after you cleaned the surface of course.

It took me less then 20 seconds to install and should hold on for at least 6 months! I hope it brings me many a bathroom visit with a dry toilet seat! And what a cute gentle remider to wash your hands!

I showed it to my 6 year old and he said his is willing to touch The Shandle and will now make sure the seat is up. He is starting to read and told me it says "Wash your hands" so hopefully he will do so!

Go pay their web site a visit and purchase a few for your home and at less then $7.00 each you will be happy you did so!

The Zula Patrol Review and Giveaway

My 6 year old loves all things to do with outer space so when I had the opportunity to review The Zula Patrol DVD's I jumped at it!

This has got to be one of the cutest kids shows out there! My son has watched to DVD's over and over so much I have the Zula Patrol theme song running through my head several times a day! It is a catchy little tune! :)

See The Zula Patrol in action for yourself on NBC on Saturday mornings or on qubo, check your local listings and cable line up and if you do not have qubo call your cable provider and ask for it! My son loves the qubo channel.

As a parent I was very impressed with the wealth of information that is packed into each episode, I LOVE a children's show that actually teaches! There are very few of them out there anymore.

You must visit their web site as well, it should provide hours of entertainment not only for but for your child as well! It is very well thought out!

About a year and a half ago I wrote this post . Well guess what? I have more people to thank. So here we go.....

Thank you to those of you who drive like IDIOTS on a certain road in my city. The speed limit in the city is 25 with the exception of a few places. The expressway, Calumet Dr and this one stretch of Taylor Dr between Erie Ave and Union Ave where the speed limit is CLEARLY posted as 45 mph. PEOPLE you have very few options to drive fast in our little city so WHY OH WHY do you go 30mph in a 45mph zone and then gesture to me as if I have done something wrong when I am UP YOUR ASS???? Can you not read? Well if that is the case then you should not be driving. I would not be so irritate if it did not happen 99% of the time I take that road, from now on I am going to avoid it like the plague.

Thank you to my 6 year old for opening the back window of the car with out my knowledge, it rained that night and HARD! So now my car smells all musty and his booster seat was wet for days!

Thank you to the idiot who video taped our mayor when he was obviously a little drunk and saying VERY inappropriate things. I don't agree with what he said, it was so out of line but come on! Put it on YouTube? That was VERY low and shame on our local paper for putting the video on their web site. HELLO!!! Vulgar language!!! Did I mention it made Leno? Nice we were in the opening monologue of his show. If I ever find out who you are.....I have a YouTube account as well, just saying. I bet you NEVER "talk like a guy" when you are drunk!

And the biggest thank you of all goes to 2 stores in my town!

Ah Shopko....the store I aways forget about, I paid you a visit today. I know it has been a while but this girl was on a mission to find stupid Zhu Zhu pets for my darling 6 year old. He has said this is ALL he wants for Christmas, why is he thinking that far ahead? Well he is 6! I arrive and bolt through the store, I was on a mission. Well...of course I could not find them so I ask the sales associate and this is what she tells me "Oh yes I know what you are talking about, we did have some on Saturday. We got like 50 of them in and one person came and bought all of them" OK maybe not fifty but I swear she said 30 but that is not the point. ARE YOU FRIGGING KIDDING ME??? THE hottest toy of the season and you let 1 person buy all of them??? I will be calling you tomorrow, I just might call the big old corporate office.

And then there is Wal-Mart. I have this love hate relationship with you, you know that. So when I went looking for the ever so elusive Zhu Zhu Pets and could not find them I was discouraged. When I went to check out the few items I had your lovely sales associate asks "Did you find everything OK?" I had to say "No". When I explained what I was looking for she said "Oh ya, I know what you are talking about, the manager bought what we had left saying this was THE hot toy of the season" WHAT THE.....I AM MORE THEN ANNOYED! Yes you too will be getting a phone call from me. Is there some sort of store policy against that?

I did find the Zhu Zhu Pets at TARGET! I love Target! I asked the wonderful sales associate Christine and they had some in back...SCORE one for mom and Target and zero for Shopko and Wal Mart!
